Whether or not Luther said, “Here I stand!” it fits. But what did he stand on? It is often taken that he stood on “Scripture alone!” – which he did, but in this speech at Worms he actually took his stand on something else, albeit Scripture was foundational.
In this paper on Pastoral Implications of Sola Scriptura I highlight the need to uphold the sixth (and forgotten) "Sola" of the Reformation, conscience, in the face of evangelical attacks on the doctrine of Scripture.
